Loudwater in fine, festive voice

LRA Christmas Carols

On a rare dry afternoon in the run up to Christmas, 40 or so Loudwater residents gathered by The Spinney in Troutstream Way to sup mulled wine (or hot chocolate), munch on mince pies and sing a selection of carols. It was the first time the LRA has arranged a festive singalong, and Zoe did a
great job in coordinating the seasonal fun.

As the sun set on the neighbourhood, our gathering – lit by fairy lights, torches and the helpful headlights of a nearby 4×4 – was in fine voice. Zoe furnished us with song sheets and we embarked on a selection of festive
favourites. There was a great deal of conversation and good humour among the group, and the children enjoyed playing alongside. It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate Christmas as a community ahead of the main event.

Thanks to Zoe, Anni and team for setting everything up and kicking Christmas off in such a fun way. The next LRA event will be our Easter Egg hunt – look out for details soon.
