On Sunday 7th July the weather came through for us and the sun did indeed shine for our ‘Fun in the Loudwater sun’ event over at the Barn.
The annual LRA summer fete, this year organised by Zoe Wright-Browne, involved lots of activities to entertain the children – from a fabulous magician, to face painting, giant bubbles, water and sand play with toys galore; while the adults got to enjoy some Pimms, chat and focus on tucking into a delicious American style BBQ feast supplied by Smokey Mac. The lovely Sarah Wenzel once again provided a stash of fresh cakes from her bakery, so our thanks go to her for the kind contribution to our spread.
Magician Fizzy Kids was a highlight – the children were transfixed as he performed lots of tricks, got them involved and had them laughing and singing. It was a great opportunity to catch up with neighbours and make new connections whether young or a little more mature.
